Client
City of Portland
Kevin Robert Perry assisted the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Smart Growth Program in the development of stormwater design handbooks for Sussex County, Delaware and the Sanitary District No. 1 of Northern Kentucky. The design guidebooks incorporate the concepts of Smart Growth and Low Impact Development at the regional, community, and site-specific scales. For both Delaware and Kentucky, Kevin Robert Perry has participated in community design workshops in order to help inspire and educate policy makers, developers, designers, and the general public on the benefits of using green infrastructure design strategies. The guidebooks contain- user-friendly design graphics and language including a series of “before and after” perspective sketches of potential green street, parking lot, and building demonstration projects located throughout the local area. The success of these guidebooks has prompted the U.S. EPA to use the illustrations from the guidebooks to create a green street fact sheet for a national audience. This project was completed while Kevin Robert Perry worked for Nevue Ngan Associates.
